Man City vs Leeds match preview
City have won 4 and lost 1 of their last 5 league games and Leeds have won 2, lost 2 and drawn 1 of their last 5. Leeds held City ti a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture in a game that had 7 Leeds corners, 10 City corners, 2 Leeds yellow cards and 1 City yellow.
This looks like a game that will produce goals. City have scored 10 in their last 3 league games and average 2.61 goals per game in their last 18 league games. Leeds style of play this season has often led to entertaining games where they either win or lose as they have only had 3 draws all season and they came against Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea which in fairness are 3 games they probably would have taken a point in. Leeds have failed to score in 3 of their last 5 league games but have scored 2 in each of their last 2 league games and average 1.41 goals per game in their last 12 league games. Despite keeping 2 clean sheets in a row City have conceded in 4 of their last 6 league games so there is always a chance that Leeds could score a goal or 2, but total match goals may be the safe play as it wouldn’t be a surprise if Leeds didn’t score and City could easily score 3 or 4 on their own to cover the bet.
Corners looks a very good market. With 17 in the reverse fixture between these 2 sides. City average 6.45 corners per game this season and Leeds average 5.83. Leeds average 6.60 corners per game in their last 5 league games and City have taken 21 corners in their last 3 home games (an average of 7 corners per game in those 3 games). So it would be no surprise to see both teams take 4/5 corners and the game to go into double figures and perhaps even push towards 14/15 match corners.
Cards wouldn’t be a surprise but City’s stats on cards can be very up and down And whilst Leeds are more consistent, the stats are not strong enough for us to want to play that market.
The best bets in this game are goals and corners with it looking highly likely the game will go over 2.5 goals and have a double digit amount of corners with both teams contributing 4 or 5 corners each

Liverpool vs Aston Villa match preview
Liverpool have won 3 and lost 2 of their last 5 league games and Villa have won 1, drawn 2 and lost 2 of their last 5 league games. Villa shocked Liverpool and pretty much the whole league when they beat Liverpool 7-2 in the reverse fixture and that game had 7 Liverpool corners, 3 Villa corners, 1 Liverpool yellow card and 3 Villa yellow cards.
Both sides have been pretty inconsistent lately and whilst Liverpool confirmed that they are starting to move in the right direction when they beat Arsenal 3-0 last time out, it is with remembering that Arsenal put in what was likely their worst performance under Mike Arteta. Villa are missing star man Jack Greasing and with both teams being difficult to read its not a game that we are desperate to get involved in.
Both sides have also dropped off in corners recently as they have struggled going forward so that’s a market we are happy to sit out this time. The season stats on cards aren’t great either but cards wouldn’t be a surprise as Liverpool will be desperate to avoid losing 6 in a row at home and Villa will be desperate to do the double over the current Premier League champions. Just the stats are not strong enough for us to confidently recommend that bet.

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea match preview
Palace have drawn 3, won 1 and lost 1 of their last 5 league games and Chelsea have drawn 2, won 2 and lost 1 of their last 5 league games. The reverse fixture ended 4-0 to Chelsea with 8 Chelsea corners, 5 Palace corners and 2 Chelsea yellow cards.
This looks like a good game for Chelsea to bounce back after a very surprising defeat at home to West Brom last time out. Though they aren’t a team that I would want to be backing at slim odds when they are coming off a European away trip and they now look to have a great chance of making a Champions League semi-final which will surely play a part in their team selection and players playing time in games like this.
Chelsea have been given no cards in 5 of their last 8 league games and Palace have been given no cards in 3 of their last 7, so bookings isn’t an appealing market to us. Palace have been low on corners all season and Chelsea have been rocking up decent corner numbers. The off putting stat from corners point of view is that Palace average just 2.83 corners per game in their last 6 league games and have seen their opponents take just 6 corners in their last 3 games. Chelsea re usually very consistent with corners around the 5/6 mark but in 2 of their last 5 league games they have taken 3 corners or less, and with potential changes as they rest players we are not sure it’s smart to take that bet at the likely short price, given Palace have proven they can frustrate sides this season as they have done recently to Man United and Arsenal where they held them both to goalless drawn.
So whilst it would be no surprise to see Chelsea score a couple of goals, take 5/6 corners and win the game quite easily, we don’t feel they are smart bets at the odds with doubt about the stats and the mindset behind the Chelsea selection with bigger fish to fry in coming weeks. We will not be recommending a bet in this game.
