Man United vs Leicester match preview
Man United are unbeaten in their last 14 league games and have won 6 of their last 7. Leicester have now lost 3 of their last 6 league games and if Leicester lose today, they will be 6 points ahead of Liverpool, but Liverpool will have 2 games in hand so would be able to go level on points with the foxes. Leicester will be desperate to avoid a repeat of last season where Champions League football looked guaranteed until an end of season collapse.
Leicester have scored in 11 of their last 12 league games and they scored an average of 2 goals per game in those 12 games. Leicester have conceded in 10 of their last 12 league games and they conceded an average of 1.50 goals per game in those 12 games. Both teams have scored in 9 of the last 12 Leicester league games.
Man United have scored in 6 of their last 7 league games and they scored an average of 2 goals per game in those 7 games. United have kept 5 clean sheets in their last 9 league games, but they have now conceded in 4 of their last 5 league games and both teams have scored in 4 of the last 5 Man United league games.
Over 1.5 goals looks very strong and both teams to score also looks to have a great chance. At bigger odds a bet like both teams to score in both halves would have a chance.
United average 6 corners per game in their last 6 league games and Leicester average 8.40 corners per game in their last 5 league games. So it looks highly likely both teams take at least 3 corners, and there is good reason to take that bet higher to 4/5 corners each. It’s also very likely the game has a double digit corner count. Another good bet would be a goal in each half and 3/4+ corners in each half.
Leicester have been given no cards in 3 of their last 4 league games, though it’s worth noting that those games were against West Brom, Crystal Palace and Southampton (who went down to 10 men very early), these are games that Leicester were in control of and they never really needed to make fouls. In recent games against better teams they were given 3 yellow cards against West Ham and 2 against Man City, plus they were given 2 yellow cards when they played United earlier in the season. Man United average 2.42 yellow cards per game in their last 7 league games. All of the last 7 Man United league games went over 30+ match booking points. So it’s highly likely both teams pick up at least 1 card and the game has 30+ match booking points.
The best bets in this game are
Over 1.5 goals
Both teams to score
Both teams to score in both halves
3/4/5 corners each team (3 is obviously the safest bet but a good case can be made for backing 4/5 corners each)
A goal in each half and 3+ corners in each half
9+ match corners
10+ booking points each team
30+ match booking points

Southampton vs Crystal Palace match preview
At the time of writing Southampton re not guarantees their safety yet, but 1 more win would do that for them. They could be safe by the time the game kicks off if Fulham lose to Burnley on Monday night. Neither if these sides have really impressed in the league this season and this doesn’t look an overly appealing clash on paper.
Southampton have scored in 6 of their last 8 league games and they scored an average of 1.25 goals per game in those games. Southampton have conceded in 16 of their last 17 league games and they conceded an average of 2.47 goals per game in those 17 games. Palace have now scored in 6 of their last 7 league games but they only scored an average of 1 goal per game in those 7 games. Palace have conceded in 4 of their last 5 league games and they conceded an average of 1.80 goals per game in those 5 games.
Goals is a tricky market as Southampton have only scored in 67.64% of their league games this season and Palace in 61.76%, so neither can exactly be relied on to score goals. That being said its still likely that both teams score here as they have both proven they can score goals. Palace are not great defensively and Southampton are pretty shocking at the back, so both teams should get chances to score.
Palace only average 3.20 corners per game in their last 10 league games. Southampton are more consistent but we would trust them to cover a bet on their own. There could easily be corners if this turns into the open and attacking game that it could, but the stats suggest it’s not an angle where you want to push your luck too much.
Southampton only average 0.57 yellow cards per game in their last 7 league games and Palace only average 1.18 yellow cards per game in their last 11 league games. So the stats suggest it’s not a game that is going to produce a lot of cards.
The best bets in this game are
Over 1.5 goals
Both teams to score
